For years, I’ve especially admired their gemstone necklaces—the playful combinations, unexpected palettes, and layers of beautiful stones. The one pictured here is the only one I’ve ever owned, and it remains one of my favorite pieces of jewelry.
My husband bought it for me during a date in Stone Harbor, NJ, when we had five children ages seven and under. I was deep in a season of motherhood when I felt stretched impossibly thin and rarely had the time or energy to care for myself. This necklace felt like a little gift of beauty in the midst of it all: its cheerful colors made me feel a little more joyful, energized, and alive.
And yet, four years later, I have worn it much less than anticipated. It's beautiful, but not something I naturally reach for on an ordinary Tuesday.
The piece I do wear every day is my rosary bracelet.
Unlike a necklace, a bracelet is always within sight—while driving, making dinner, folding laundry, or rocking a baby to sleep. I began to wonder: What if those same joyful colors and beautiful gemstones became something women could wear every day? And what if it wasn’t simply beautiful, but also an instrument of prayer?
That question became the beginning of Eliza Maris. 🩵
My hope is to create rosary bracelets that accompany women through the ordinary moments of life—bringing a little beauty, a little peace, and many little reminders to pray.
